Is this the Beginning of the End for Pakistan?

With fifteen people dead (seven of whom are children), no more than 70 injured, and 150 homes destroyed or damaged we see yet another societal internalization of violence as a direct result of government interference. Yesterday, Monday, July 13, a bomb planted in a local cleric’s house exploded in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The cleric used his residence in Mian Channu to provide religious education to children.

Yet again we see another case of societal destabilization in South Asia and the Middle East as a result of government violence in the region. Drone attacks have plagued schools, weddings, and homes on an almost daily basis since the Obama inauguration. While the mouthpieces of the Obama administration and the one-party legislature would probably circumvent the criticism, it has been proven by various credible intelligence sources that increased US military presence in Pakistan has destabilized Afghanistan by driving insurgents back across the border. Thus, the US has been “forced” to deepen its commitments in Afghanistan while spreading its campaign into yet another country.

A reemerging pattern seems to be establishing itself in the form of US imperial adventures leading to an increase in societal warfare and destabilization. It has happened for years in the Middle East, most recently in Afghanistan and Iraq, and now, the bloodshed is making its way into Pakistan. Despite calls for the US to end its bombings of Pakistan, the US government has refused to call off the UAV's. With the Pakistani government leveraged up on American aid, the US government has effectively removed any hindrance to its plans for conquest in the area. If the Pakistani government were to oppose US military action they would find themselves on the verge of collapse; so, in the name of government parasitism, both the American and Pakistani governments will do what it takes to survive and prosper. No matter how many honest men, women, and children will pay for the proliferation of government-sponsored slavery, US military action will only proliferate in the area.

Don’t be surprised if more of these bombings continue. Don’t be surprised is more drone attacks escalate the violence. Don’t be surprised if more US military troops are required in Afghanistan, and eventually they are requested in Pakistan. And do not be surprised if more innocent people die at the hands of thieves, murderers, torturers, and serial killers posing as government officials.

Britain's New Energy Plan

Britain has introduced a new plan to increase energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gases. The British government is promising payments to citizens who put power back into the National Grid. All this is in accordance with a G8 agreement "that global temperatures should not rise more than 2C above 1900 levels."

However, opponents of the plan say that it will require government subsidies, and "would mean an average annual increase of £230 on household fuel bills." Aside from compromising the efficient allocation of a free-market price system, opponents of this proposal suggest that it will only weaken the stability of the British economy.

“At present, only about 2% of Britain's energy comes from renewable sources, but the government has pledged to increase that to 15%within the next 12 years.” For a country whose national debt is predicted to "hit 75% of its GDP by 2013", offering fiscal incentives for 15% of its power is a steep order.

Consequences of $11.3 Trillion US Debt

As of June 1, 2009,the U.S.national debt stands at $11.3 trillion dollars, a number greatly increased by the Obama/Bush regime's economic policies. As Frederic Bastiat points out in his famous essay, That Which Is Seen, and That Which Is Not Seen, the costs of government economic activity (parasitism) divert important resources from individuals to nonproductive activities. These consumptive expenditures, not to mention the resulting inflation, only further exasperate the destruction of wealth..
